Designers all around the world have been inspired to create innovative and unusual marble design objects. More than that, marble has become a fashion trend, and marble texture has become a print pattern. Let’s try to reconstruct the story of this trend through some remarkable milestones.
Marble trend: from fashion to every industry
Around 2013 marble texture landed the fashion world, and since then it has become very popular. Marble texture started being applied everywhere , marble print on metal, leather, paper, fabric and vinyl .The trend has passed from industry to industry, from fashion to interior decoration, home appliances, dinnerware, household linen, sport wear, consumer electronics accessories, packaging.
The marble trend has made Carrara more popular than ever, and Carrara town and its marble quarries (North of Tuscany) have also become a popular location for photo-shooting, advertising, product launches and movie setting.

Even if Carrara texture remains the most popular, designers have also played with different kinds of marble, granite and stones from portoro, to black marquina, green marble and other more colourful stones, as well as terrazzo patterns.
